Jay Nash & Brooks Hubbard

Join us for a special co-bill evening featuring Jay Nash and Brooks Hubbard.

ABOUT JAY NASH

WEBSITE | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | SPOTIFY

“It’s a bit of a paradox.  I still feel like an up-and-coming singer-songwriter, with my most exciting days just in front of me.  It's funny because I have been writing songs and singing for my supper for almost 25 years...crazy how time flies when you are having fun.  Still, I am as excited as ever for the next song, the next record, and the next gig.” - JN

Over the span of his self-described, ‘under the radar' career, Jay Nash's rough-hewn voice, poignant melodies, and unique yet subtly virtuosic approach to the guitar have taken him across the United States and Europe more times than he can count.  He has released seven full-length solo albums, and four solo EPs along with another ten albums with his collaborative efforts with TFDI, The Contenders, Garrison Starr, and Caitlin Crosby..racking up 10s of millions of streams and selling over 70,000 records.  In his time off the road, where he’s racked up thousands of live performances, Nash has created the original motion picture score for three feature films, a Dutch television series, and dozens of nationally run commercial spots.

Variety is indeed the spice of life. Still, everything comes back to the man and his guitar.

“Writing and singing songs is my connection to the rest of the world.  When I am inside a song, everything makes sense, and loneliness does not exist.  The great joy of my life has been witnessing people make my music a part of their lives and seeing it help them make sense of this world.  I can honestly say that nearly every opportunity that I have ever had and nearly every positive and beautiful memory of my life somehow stemmed from me standing on a stage with my guitar and singing for folks”, says Nash.

“When I was a kid, music pulled me out of my first adolescent existential crisis.  For me, it was Jerry Garcia’s guitar, Bob Dylan’s words, and Cat Steven's voice that made me feel suddenly connected to everything that has ever been and everything that ever will be.”

“My aim now is to do the same.  I still believe that we can make this world a better place with one story and one song at a time.”

The Rough & Tumble and Flagship Romance’s Rough Romance Show

Two folk/Americana duos, The Rough & Tumble and Flagship Romance combine for a night of high energy, four part harmonies, infectious hooks and a roomful of laughter. It took over 10 years and 500,000 miles of touring the indie/folk circuit and seeing each other’s posters on venue walls before the two bands met. But it only took one meeting before they’d started a text thread and concocted the idea of the Rough Romance tour. It’s a night of open-armed, deep-in-the-belly-songs that are as intimate as they are universal and as delightful as your first cup of coffee. It’s a jubilant show that has become the highlight of the year for many people to watch these four accomplished musicians and friends share the stage.

Darrell Scott

Join us for a special evening with four-time Grammy Award nominated singer/songwriter Darrell Scott.

ABOUT DARRELL SCOTT

WEBSITE | FACEBOOK | INSTAGRAM | SPOTIFY

Multi-Instrumentalist and Singer-Songwriter Darrell Scott mines and cultivates the everyday moment, taking the rote, menial, mundane, and allowing it to be surreal, ever poignant, and candidly honest, lilting, blooming, and resonating.  The words he fosters allow us to make sense of the world, what is at stake here, and our place in it. And ultimately, Darrell knows the sole truth of life is that love is all that matters, that we don’t always get it right, but that’s the instinctive and requisite circuitous allure of things, why we forever chase it, and why it is held sacred.

Darrell Scott comes from a musical family with a father who had him smitten with guitars by the age of 4, alongside a brother who played Jerry Reed style as well.  From there, things only ramped up with literature and poetry endeavors while a student at Tufts University, along with playing his way through life.  This would never change.

After recently touring with Robert Plant and the Zac Brown Band (2 years with each), and producing albums for Malcolm Holcomb and Guy Clark and being named “songwriter of the year” for both ASCAP and NSAI, these days find him roaming his Tennessee wilderness acreage hiking along the small river, creating delicious meals with food raised on his property and playing music.  He often leads songwriting workshops to help people tell their own truths with their stories, and is as busy as always writing, producing, performing, and just plain fully immersing himself in life.

Career Highlights:

Grammy Nomination for Best Country Song – “Long Time Gone” Dixie Chicks 2003Grammy Nomination for Best Country Instrumental Performance – “The Second Mouse” 2001Americana 2007 Song of the Year – “Hank Williams’ Ghost”Rolling Stone Magazine listed Theatre of the Unheard as one of the 2003 Critics Top AlbumsASCAP Songwriter of the Year 2002NSAI Songwriter of the Year 2001
