The Midnight Wrens - a special fundraiser for Oscar Grossman
On February 5, Oscar Grossman suffered a devastating fall while working at a job site through the SST school program. He sustained multiple serious injuries, including a traumatic brain injury, fractured neck, back, and skull, and is now undergoing intensive neurological and physical rehabilitation.
Oscar’s life has been forever changed, but his strength and spirit are guiding us all. He is a true warrior. Our family is incredibly grateful for the outpouring of love and support from our community. With a long road ahead, your continued support means everything.

Matt Heckler is a solo multi-instrumentalist that barely fits into any ordinary musical category. Brass sensation The Soul Rebels started with an idea - to expand upon the pop music they loved on the radio and the New Orleans brass tradition they grew up on. BOOM 3: A Burst & Bloom Variety Show
Join us for a very special evening featuring The Burst & Bloom Variety Show Tour - a modern variety show, showcasing the best in contemporary comedy, music, magic, and other forms of live entertainment!
The show will hit five New England cities in May, and will feature different special guests in each city. Tiger Saw serves as the house band, and will perform basement soul originals and carefully-selected covers.
Each night will feature stand-up comedy by Danny Jordan and others. Joel the Wizard will perform close-up and stage magic.

PMAC's Acoustic Coffee House and Ukulele Ensemble with Steve Roy
PMAC returns to The Word Barn with a dynamic double bill featuring the debut performance of Acoustic Coffee House, a new ensemble led by Steve Roy, alongside the ever-popular Ukulele Ensemble. This special event highlights the versatility and camaraderie at the heart of PMAC’s adult music programs.
Acoustic Coffee House blends folk, Americana, and roots influences, delivering warm acoustic textures. Paired with the joyful strumming and infectious energy of the Ukulele Ensemble, the evening promises a welcoming mix of toe-tapping tunes.

PMAC invites the community to The Word Barn for an uplifting evening of music featuring PMAC adult students from Steve Roy's Noon Tunes and Bluegrass Ensemble.
Led by acclaimed multi-instrumentalist and teaching artist Steve Roy, both ensembles highlight the joy and connection found in making music together. From traditional bluegrass to acoustic folk favorites, audience members can expect an intimate and energetic performance that reflects the talent and dedication of PMAC’s adult music students.

Beltane: Scottish Celebration of Spring
Welcome the lighter days of Spring at NHSCOT’s Beltane celebration on May 10th from 2 -6pm at The Word Barn in Exeter, NH.

Resonant Rogues with Dan Blakeslee
The Resonant Rogues’ dark Appalachian folk paints a picture of their lives in the mountains of Western North Carolina and on the road. Anchored by the songwriting duo of Sparrow (banjo, accordion) and Keith Josiah Smith (guitar), they are joined by Joe Macheret (fiddle) and June Youngblood (upright bass). Sparrow and Smith have traveled the byways and highways of America and crossed the oceans with instruments in tow. From riding freight trains to building their own homestead, the pair are no strangers to blazing unconventional trails.

Matt Shore Does Songs at You: A Musical Comedy Show
Matt Shore enjoys turning the mundane things in life into hilarious, high-energy pop bangers. With topics ranging from dealing with anxiety, trying to pay student loans, protecting yourself from Boston’s wild turkeys, and more, he’s got the song you didn’t know you needed. Matt’s setup includes a keyboard, laptop, loop station, guitar, and with his trusty ironing board as a table for it all, he can make any venue feel like your parents' basement. If you’re ready for it, Matt Shore will do songs at you.

The Hazel Project with The Mountain
Get ready for a night of exceptional music as The Hazel Project comes to The Word Barn playing tribute to the music written and recorded by bluegrass pioneers and legendary musicians, Hazel Dickens and Alice Gerrard.
